"Great place to get homemade sauerkraut in the fall, just make sure you have cash only! Plus get there early and they do have a limit of 6 qts per person, but well worth the trip! There is so much to do and see while you are there crafts, hit miss engine display, and old time saw mill just to name a little about the place! Usually the second weekend in October!"

"I went on Friday this year and the weather was beautiful. Sorry to see how our economy is affecting everything. It wasn't packed like it has been in the years before. Alot of the old timers are gone now. Grateful that the cost of food hasn't been raised like everything else."

"this is a WONDERFUL annual event. the volunteers KNOW their crafts and are eager to share their vast knowledge in the arts of years gone long ago. all kinds of food. chili,bean soup, fresh baked bread, BBQ chicken,pickle on a stick, apple dumplings, the list goes on and on.. the steam tractors and wood carving artists. take your time and experience " the good ole' days"!!!"

"Very nice fall drive to the Algonquin Mill. Lots of great old buildings and crafts. Working saw mill, working grain mill and other fun stuff. I definitely recommend making the trip for the experience."
