Reviews
"We saw Dr. Drasen for the first time yesterday and I was so impressed. You could tell she had taken the time to review my daughters complicated health history before she came in the room. I find many doctors these days tend to skip this important step. Not only did she do that but she talked to us as people and really listened to what was going on. She gave me some ideas nobody else had and we left with some new treatment options. Even if it doesn’t end up working I feel encouraged. She was great with my daughter and gentle. Definitely try this doctor if you are considering her!! She is wonderful! Thank you Doctor Drasen!!"
"Dr Drasen is very knowledgeable and kind. My son has been seeing Dr Drasen since birth, and we feel very lucky to be in her care! ❤️"

"We really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Drasen. She is very kind and professional and helps make the experience enjoyable for our kid. She is very helpful and knowledgeable regarding our needs. Thank you!"
"This is doctor is an ignorant bully, quite patronizing and condescending who thinks she knows it all, she even thinks herself a Disability Lawyer. Misadvising me about disability laws she knows very little about to nothing. She advised that Public Schools CANNOT make microwave accommodations for children with disabilities who take their special homemade lunch and need their food warmed up at school, yet under the USDA Accommodating Disabilities in the School Meal Programs: Guidance and Questions and Answers, Date: April 25, 2017, MEMO CODE: SP 26-2017 stipulates: "What are examples of modification requests an SFA might service? Modifications to the meal service may involve ensuring facilities and personnel are adequate to provide necessary services. In certain situations, disability accommodations may require ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT; separate or designated storage/preparation areas, surfaces, or utensils; and specific staff training and/or expertise." Dr. Stacy Drasen even repeatedly stated that "I would not find a doctor who would write such a letter stating that my child's lunch be warmed up in a microwave, that such accommodation is not possible because "she knows many children with autism and those are not the kind of accommodations they usually request." She stated that it is usually accommodations with food allergies that are requested. However, this ignorant doctor bases her expertise on comparing my autistic child with other autistic children. She is no expert in Autism and that is why children with autism vary greatly in a spectrum. Given this the USDA in the aforementioned guideline stipulates the following: "2. How does an SFA know if a child’s condition meets the definition of a disability and requires a meal modification? According to the ADA, most physical and mental impairments will constitute a disability. This includes conditions that impair immune, digestive, neurological, and bowel functions, as well as many others. General health concerns, such as a parent’s preference that a child eat a gluten-free diet because the parent believes it is healthier for the child, are not disabilities and do not require a modification. All disability considerations must be viewed on a CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. A more comprehensive discussion can be found on page 5 of SP 59-2016." Furthermore, this ignorant Dr Dresen, assumes that my child diagnosed by a Developmental Pediatrician Expert with an Eating Disorder such as Picky-Eater, is just the regular picky-eating phase a young child may have and that the child will outgrow it naturally by having the child eat the foods he/she rejects. And therefore she questions why even my child would even need food accommodations at a Public School. It is unbelievable a so- called doctor would give such uniformed advise-not even advise more like a scolding. But the USDA thankfully, acknowledges that children with Autism develop food disorder due to repetitive and ritualistic behavior patterns. The USDA aforementioned guidelines expounds on this particular problem with Autistic children: "5. Is autism considered a disability? Autism is considered a disability, and may require a reasonable modification if it substantially limits a major life activity, such as the activity of eating. For example, some children with autism will eat only certain foods due to their repetitive and ritualistic behavior patterns. Any physical or mental impairment preventing a child from consuming a meal is considered a disability." Dr Dresen is the most ill-informed doctor I have ever seen. I will report her to the Director of the Vancouver Clinic and to the Washington Board of Medical Examiners for misinforming patients in law."
