"We have been in our home for 8 years and continue to deal with problems from the original construction. Our porch is not level, the walk has sunk and the driveway is sinking and cracking, the caulking around windows and doors began shrinking leaving cracks within the first 2 years, and the framing on our french doors to the deck leaks and has rotted out. The switches on the unusual bathroom fan system have failed and are no longer available so the system must be rewired. We have numerous places in the house where the floors squeak. When the furnace runs, it sounds like a jet engine in the master bedroom. The kitchen counter is not level by the kitchen sink so water runs across the counter. There is a crack in the tiles across the kitchen floor. We had a nail leak in the roof that damaged the ceiling in the third year here. The powder room fan duct goes through an unheated space and causes the room to be cold in winter and hot in summer. The toilets in the master bathroom and powder room have leaked and had to be reset because the flanges are not the proper height for the floors. The seals around the french doors, the front door and the door to the garage allow hot and cold air to enter unless we add additional seals."
