"We chose The Signature mainly because there weren’t many places renting that allowed pets at the time and the rent seemed reasonable. This was our first time renting our own place so we let a lot of things slide hoping to be good tenants. I’m only giving this property 3 stars instead of 1 because of the one friendly office staff (Jordan) and nice maintenance staff. If it weren’t for Jordan I’m sure we would have left a long time ago. Whenever we had questions she was the only one that answered them fast and the only one to greet us with a smile. Like I mentioned it was our first time renting so we had more questions than most and she was happy to answer them all. She was the only one that let us know she cared and she did the best she could for us. If I had to ask the other staff they seemed bothered. Anyway, on to the problems we faced… 1. On multiple occasions our utilities were sent out late after our rent. And I’ve gotten an email saying if you pay the already late utilities late then you get charged more…huh?! 2. Another time while I was at work a unit next to us caught fire and none of the neighboring units were contacted. I came home to piles of burnt wood and wall pieces right outside and ashes everywhere. My whole unit smelled like smoke. This traumatized my pets and now my dog is scared whenever we leave. I had to call the office to ask what happened and got the response “oh well one of your neighboring units caught fire. Everything is fine”. 3. We upgraded to a bigger unit because I was pregnant and we needed more space. One of the problems with the new unit right off the bat was an ant problem. We have NEVER had an ant problem before and we pride ourselves in keeping a clean home. There is a $2 monthly pest fee so we thought if we reported that there was a pest issue they would accommodate. I had mentioned it multiple times and was told “yeah that happens. A guy sprays every week. Sorry” this did nothing. And mind you I was pregnant and couldn’t use harsh chemicals to rid of them. I did everything I could daily to get rid of them. We were told by one of the staff that the guy that sprays would come by to do the inside and he never showed up. It got to the point that we got our own spray and I had to leave the apartment while my fiancé did the spraying. The staff was no help at all about it. Our neighbor had to do the same. And our neighbor was the one that told us the staff is no help about the ants. 4. We were scheduled to move into the bigger apartment in the beginning of the month (when we had the most money) and had a set day. Then we received a phone call 2 days before hand that the unit was not ready due to the flooring and they didn’t know when it would be ready. They already gave us a quote on how much it would cost to switch units and when the day came it was almost double the price. We didn’t get a moving date until the end of the month and we had one day notice. We were double charged on “final” utilities dated at the beginning and end of the month when we didn’t even move in the beginning. It took MONTHS to get fixed and very little explanation. I really hope they get friendlier staff and at least come up with reasonable excuses they can’t help instead of brushing the residents off."

"I wish I could give them a zero right now. There has been a fire alarm going off for hours and hours every night (early morning) for 5 days! It is a constant beeping noise which is driving me insane!!!! I have called, emailed and complained and when I asked for a discount on rent, or reimbursement if I go to a hotel, the property manager told me that was not going to happen because WA state law gives them 10 days to fix an issue and then hung up on me. If she had a continuous beeping in her place of residence, I'm sure it would be taken care of immediately."

"My husband and I were looking to rent an apartment we met with one of the office ladies (can’t remember the name, had blonde hair) and she showed us the apartment that we would be renting. We were excited and it seemed like what was going to be an easy transition. They need a cashiers check to hold the apartment asked if Monday worked since our bank was closed on a Saturday and hat was fine. My husband came back in that Monday to hold the apartment. The lady we were working with wasn’t available so he was working with the other office lady. She told him that the apartment we were getting has already been rented out. Didn’t make any sense because we were just there viewing it. They wanted us to rent a top floor for more money. We left jumped on to read reviews.. makes sense. Hopefully before anyone decides to rent read every single review."

"ITS THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE. The worst place you could possibly choose to live!! The maintenance is awful, it is not worth it. From day 1 we had so many issues!! We notified them that first week of issues we found. They failed so many times to fulfill them. The floor was caving in which is insanely dangerous and all the maintenance guy had to say was to not have elephants step on it. The girls in the office were very rude when you tried talking to them. And their email suspiciously does not work so you have no way to get anything in writing. They are shady!! The maintenance also came by at least 5/6 times to “fix” our water and could never figure it out and then “forgot” to turn our water back on before they left. Also the place specifically says “smoke free” but everyone including maintenance smokes and the place constantly stinks!! I’m okay with people who smoke but we specifically wanted a place away from it for health reasons. Also after we brought things up we went to lock our door one day and suddenly we couldn’t lock it anymore. Very very suspicious. This is the worst management I’ve ever seen. Unless you want things always broken or falling apart, don’t move here!! It’s awful."

"Went in there was greeted with happy faces and very understanding people Even when I expressed recently divorced and credit score was a disastrous they explain that they hardly ever deny and with a low credit score they would just ask for a higher security deposit 5 minutes after I applied even though I didn't have the money into apply they denied me I tried to call the office management avoided my phone calls and would not call me back spent hours crying after I thought they were my last option or I will not have a roof over my head very disappointing to see such understanding individuals greeting mean with smiles but then felt like I had the plague they avoided me like it. I never expected management to treat me like that very disappointing I was looking forward to moving in."
