"This street is surreal. It reminded me of Rocky 1 & 2. I visited very late at night because it was the only time that I could go. Be careful when visiting because there are hustlers and thieves everywhere. I saw a man urinating on another man in the middle of the street. I also witnessed a woman giving birth on the sidewalk a block away. Several people were standing around like zombies half limped over and swaying erratically. Wild. I felt uneasy when visiting but I was also happy to see Rocky’s house. When leaving I almost stepped on a needle that was next to a puddle of blood. I do not recommend taking small children if you love them. I still like Rocky even though I was scared."

"Rocky is my favorite movie of all time. I grew up just half an hour from Philly and saw all the landmarks from the movie except for the house. Until today. This is a horrible area. open air drugs, hookers, and zombie looking people everywhere. The house is basically an alley street (one way and narrow) so there's a chance someone can block you and your car in which can lead to who knows what. Not worth seeing. definitely don't take the kids. if you aren't from Philly and have never been to bad areas, please try to stick to busier, two way streets. it's safer to do it this way, although its not 100% guaranteed you will be ok. stick to visiting the art museum and Kelly drive. dont come here."
