"I lived here for about a year & while it wasn't the worst shelter in New York, it had a sense of community since we were all trapped up here together, the fact that it was so far from NYC & you had to catch a bus early in the morning or you were stuck up here all day made it isolated."
"I love coming here. Pretty dark history of how they treated women who were in prison in New York in the early 1900s. Great place to watch the sunset and walk a dog. Be careful as there are some issues with the buildings, I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily very dangerous."
