"High school robotics team, drawing members from Avanti, Capital and Olympia high schools. Team uses the acronym ORF, and is branded loosely with a Star Trek theme. If you are an interested student or know of one, stop by and say hello some time. We also need students whose interests are in creative writing, graphics, photography, video production, etc. Also media relations, marketing and much more. Team relies on adult mentors from the community and we can always use an additional set of hands and new ways to solve problems. This is the Olympia School District's program to help students develop skills in leadership, teamwork, self motivation, empathy for others -- topics not generally taught in the classroom. The team strves for personal and team ezxellence, employing Gratious Professionalism and "Coopertition" as key tools. Outreach is a high priority and we are looking for chances to speak with community groups!"
