My daughter also comes here & she has had a really great experience too. I’m sure part of it is who your counselor is. But if you get a counselor you don’t mesh with, speak up and ask to be switched to another one. But yeah, mine has really helped me"

"Went to this place for several years, since I was 15. When I was 17 or 18, a man verbally assaulted me and several other people (cussed us out, threw books at our feet, and his hat) and stormed out. When I went up to talk to someone at the counter after the incident, the staff member laughed about it. She said "yeah, that's just Jimmy." When I asked what would be done about it, she said she might mention it to her doctor, but I "shouldn't worry about it. He's harmless." I was pretty scared, and I haven't been back since. Found other nurse practitioners and mental health providers willing to keep their patients safe. I understand we all have mental conditions, and that's why we're here. But other patients shouldn't be fearful going to get help."

"This place is a scam. Not only did they over charge me when I first came in (the counselor even told me to get a refund) but they were $100 over most places. They also violated my HIPAA privacy when the counselor had NO consent to share my information but did so anyways. I brought it up with his supervisor who stated I was just "upset" over his recommendation. No, I'm upset that this company doesn't practice within the laws appropriately and then continued to blame it on my emotions, what a joke. This company is horrible and if you want to keep your privacy..well... PRIVATE then I wouldn't ever ever ever recommend this place to you."

"The counselor I saw likes to practice, what I call, lazy psychology. Instead of getting to the root of the issue and walking/pushing you through the process required to get better, he photocopied psyc books and kept asking me what I wanted to do to get better. (obviously I was there so he could tell me what I needed to do to get better) I AM NOT paying you 150 plus an hour so I can tell myself how to get better. That's your job! And for someone with as bad of social anxiety as I have, just walking through the door to get help wads a big step for me. I felt taken advantage of there and I will not be back."
