"The visits are OK. I have been a patient for about 3 years. Some of the nurses are truly skilled at what they do in the facility. Some of them are floater and traveling from a couple hours away to work and they often bounce around, so they are not consistently able to be present at the facility. The website (updated) allows you to navigate and accomplish general tasks. The website is not capable of handling more specific concerns with your file. It needs more work. I have had a very challenging time in finding staff to set my IV for treatment, again I've been a patient at this facility for long enough to see who works more consistently at the sight and who comes and goes. I have also been receiving these treatments for over 15 years-- every 3 months, I receive 2 and I have the IV done each time. This is besides having labs in between and so on. So I am very used to needles and have not been someone who is "scared" of needles. I bring this up because the challenging time I am having is finding staff in the treatment center who can be skilled and successful at getting an IV in a patient who is about to receive treatment. I do stay hydrated and do things to help with finding my veins, and I am not typically one who has a hard time with their veins being found, but for whatever reason there have been multiple staff who can not perform this task the first time. I typically have found that each person will try a couple of times each and then they will call someone over to assist and then that person will have a tough time. Sometimes they second person is a seasoned nurse and someone who has done this successfully before, but it seems that if their first 'go-to" spot has already been tried, they have to try somewhere else and it's a challenge for them at that point. I am REALLY exhausted by leaving with 2-3 different bandages and pokes (at minimum) each visit. I am hoping that this makes sense and that this issue is resolved. That is taken as a training opportunity and remedied soon. I am now noticing that for myself, I am anxious when these visits come up. I was never like this. I have even had my nerves hit and had to deal with shooting pains up and down my arms because of the digging and tracking done by the person searching with a needle. It is extremely frustrating and discouraging, especially when I need to go for my health. Now my mental health is taking a dip when all I really want to do is go for my health and well being. I have spoken to staff about this, I have left messages, I am hoping to have resolution soon. I have even asked about having the phlebotomist in the front and that was a no. Then I asked about having my treatment at St. Peter's, is this possible??"
