"Pay attention to the prices on shelves and what they ring up. They ring up random prices when you checkout and sometimes it's double what's marked! Even if there's a price tag on the item themselves they've tried to overcharge me."
"I would rather make my purchases from a local merchant rather than one of the big chains however, each time I have gone into the Handy Mart both the owner as well as his wife are far from friendly. A simple "hello" with a smile would suffice, rather than a grunt of some sort. I'll drive the extra distance to Safeway, Fred Meyer or QFC in the future as I've given these people numerous chances to make the effort to buy local worth my while."
