"We started from the outside and we as a trio were looking for a special memento for a fallen hero who did beyond for this community! We met alot of nice people along the way and even a few employees who said they would send someone to help us because they were from another department but no one ever came to help us. We ended up going further into the outdoor section of the garden area where still no employees were and we looked through more selections until we decided on a product. I went inside the actual store to see if we could get help in lifting the merchandise into the cart and no one helped us. The store was not busy at all! When we waited our turn to goto the register to pay the female clerk told us she would goto lunch after she finished ringing up the person that was in front of us so we had to wait yet again for someone to take their sweet time to help us. Why have a store if your going to act like your customers are bothering you."

"Used to be a great hardware store but some changes have occurred. The last 3 times I have comparison shopped between here and the major chains McLendon is 300% or more expensive, and they seem to be losing the knowledgeable staff to competitors. The taco truck is great though!"

"As far as a Hardware/Home & garden store goes, McLendon has it all going on! Great place to shop, and the employees are always helpful. Also, if Milwaukee is your brand of tool, they now have a huge collection!"

"This is the headquarters for Christmas decorations. We went big this year and the Renton store had it all in stock when I needed it. I made a couple trips there from Bonney Lake and I was never disappointed when I arrived. They even had 300’ of C9 green Christmas light wire with 6” spacing."

"A great location, great store for hardware, tools, all type of construction project supplies, lumber, plumbing, electrical, painting, windows, doors, construction clothing, gardening, & so many other fields. They have great selection of all type of supplies, modern, and new designs in so many product lines Even especially designed tools . you can find items here that you can't find in other big hardware supply stores, especially when you have to repair something, and only that small part will do, and complete replacement, and complete demolition, and install a brand new system is not an option . Then McClendon will rescue you, and your project, and your budget. Because you could find what you need at McClendon what many other hardware stores discontinued carrying , then you realize the value of McClendon, Good customer service throughout, and good helpful, friendly employees. If you need good, friendly, knowledgeable service in plumbing dept. Then Steve is your man plus his co workers Employees working there for long time, and they can give advices on products, and how to installation. It is a really big store, but it has that next door neighbor, or local neighborhood store feeling, that they will give you the personal friendly assistance,or help you need. If you need good friendly help in Customer service dept. Then Robert is your man They also deliver. Their price is little higher than big box stores, but it is worth paying the extra money , if it will finish our projects, and don't mind paying this extra price difference here if it helps McClendon stay in business, and support it daily operations, and allow it to be competitive, and flourish, and have higher pay to their employees. McClendon is the destination for whatever is needed in construction small, or large project. They do offer discounts for special quantities, and customer with large orders Most of what they sell, are quality made. They treat customers good. No hustle return with receipts,or Credit Card. Lots of good free easy parking, and there are some charging stations for EV Update 08/2022 They are still providing good products,with good customer service"
