"I'm not a huge fan of any Kroger-based supermarket. I don't feel that an organization that large with buying power that strong is treating its customers fairly by having higher prices, near-monopolistic control of the local grocery market, and gimmicky methods of offering savings. 11/2023 - about the same 12/2023 - ridiculously high prices and Needlessly complicated coupon system. 03/2023 - it's tough to feel completely safe when there are so many homeless people loitering around the front door and in the parking lot."
"This is the worst Safeway I've ever been to. The lady at the Customer Service desk is so rude and you can watch her give every single person coming up to her mass amounts of attitude and push back for any request. This is now the 3rd time I've had to deal with this person, finally I asked for a manager. I got Ronnie Hane who refused to aknowledge me or even look at me. I ask if he cared and he started yelling at me telling me he's the manager. I will never shop at Safeway in Seaside Oregon ever again. The staff seems absolutely miserable. Update, I have been going to grocery outlet since this post and I could not be happier. Definitely recommend going to grocery outlet over Safeway. Service is better, selection is good and I'm even saving money. Boycott Safeway in Seaside"
"Unbelievably high prices! but, nice new store. I did not buy a thing, but went to another grocery store nearby. I will not stand for price gouging. This is catering to the tourists, and NOT the local community."
"All around bad experience with the staff. Starting with the deli, the woman helping me seemed annoyed that I wanted her to slice meat from the turkey that was on sale instead of giving me the one that was already cut for four dollars more a pound. Strike one. She then gave me .65 pounds of turkey after I asked for a half pound. Not a big deal, but we are traveling without a cooler and this is our last night here. Strike two. Then, at the checkout, the dude was very nonplussed about me mentioning the sale price that for some reason didn’t end up on the deli sticker. Instead of walking over and looking for himself, he decided to call a manager over which turned into like a seven minute fiasco. He was extraordinarily rude and didn’t apologize for wasting my time. Definitely choosing a different grocery store next time in Seaside"
