"After a few days of thinking, I've decided to unfortunately post this one-star review for my wife who visited on Sunday, 2-25-24. To make a long story short, she went because we don't have time currently for her to book another hair appointment at a salon, and just wanted her hair cleaned up and trimmed shorter. After spending what felt like a strange amount of time out, she returned and showed me what happened. According to her, her stylist at this location attempted no less than three times to cut her hair, making it lopsided and uneven each time she attempted, causing her to go back and cut even more off. Apparently after the third attempt my wife decided that it was a lost cause and just asked her to layer it at that point and she would take the chopped up, uneven hair. The layering only compounded the issue and made it worse, making it even look more choppy as the layering job consisted of simply just...cutting it at what appears to be random places. All and all, a total butcher job of a haircut which is very noticeable if she puts her hair down. Thankfully for her, if she ties it up, it's not noticeable, but that wasn't the point of the visit. I've now had to unfortunately see her go through all the stages of grief for her hair and come to the acceptance that it would grow back, or face what we were having to try to avoid doing in the first place and go book time and money at a salon in an attempt to fix what was given. Now, my wife was sort of at a "it happened, I got *insert emotion here*, and now I'll go to the salon like I should have in the first place" but here is what peeves me personally the most, considering how it's not my hair. The stylist, full well knowing that what she gave was not what my wife wanted, a butcher job on her hair, and just sub-par work, had the absolute audacity to charge her for it and took money and a tip. That's so absurd and frankly, terrible business practice. We aren't talking a minor mistake here, but something that needs to be professionally fixed, or grown out and then fixed over months. I cannot abide or support this at all. This pains me because frankly, I cut my hair here all the time and I've never had a problem, heck I even use their app which is fantastic and simple. The discussion came up that maybe men's hair is far easier and more practiced here, which I can probably see, but the absolute hackjob done to her hair and then charging her for it...I'll unfortunately no longer be going to this location or any Great Clips in the future. Furthermore, I'll be letting people know whom I recommended that my opinion has changed. Very disappointed."

"Been a loyal great clip’s customer since I retired from Army and seems that this franchise owner doesn’t value its military veteran customers anymore as they have taken away the military discount they used to offer. Now they only give a discount to active duty and on Veterans Day they give a free haircut to vets at every location across the country. This was my last visit to this location. I’ll take my business to a different hair place that respects and values us military past and present. If you or your family are in or related to the military I’d suggest you do the same."
