"Communication is the biggest issue here. My sister specifically asked the lady for a certain shape/ color and she gave her something else. I asked the guy to do a simple pattern on my natural nails and he started prepping my nails for acrylics. Mind you, he didn’t care to clean or cut my cuticles before the process. He left the sides of my nails unpolished. Not really a big deal but I expected more from a nail salon that’s been in business for “10+ years”. Then the lady suggested the priciest pedicure. Didn’t care to show us the other options. I was treating my sister so I just said, why not. The ladies that did our pedicures did not talk. They only talked to each other (in their language) *Note: I don’t mind people speaking in their languages but I feel it’s kind of disrespectful when running a business or during business hours because customers are unaware of what’s being said. I had leftover wax from the pedicure. By the time I had noticed it I was already home. The lady in the front doesn’t slowly break down the prices for you. Again, for the price, I expected better service. I definitely overtipped for the services we received. We felt rushed and although we were walk-ins, there were no other clients in the shop."

"I have NEVER had any luck with nails. I spent years getting acrylic nails and gel nails and nothing lasted a week. Butterfly Nails recommend a nail dip. I fully expected them to chip and lift as normal. But it’s been close to 4 weeks and my nails look great. Their pedicures are also luxurious! I’m thrilled to find this once in a lifetime salon. "This is hands down my favorite nail/spa place in Olympia! I only go here for nails and pedicures, but they also do eyebrow, waxing and many other types of services. I’ve been going here for about about a year and a half now. All of the staff members are super friendly, especially my favorites who are Ruby and Steve. I haven’t been to very many places, but from my own experience and others, I believe it’s the most affordable place in town. They are very skilled, and can create a large variety of designs. It really helps them out when you draw a picture or bring in a reference picture for your design. In terms of time, it’s best to make an appointment, but they do take walk-ins. Just make sure you have patience when you come in. Sometimes, they are very busy and accommodating walk-ins also means juggling appointment customers. They do free repairs if something is wrong or breaks. However, just be really clear with your communication and don’t be afraid to speak up during your service. If there’s a communication gap, ask Steve for help. I recommend reserving at least a two hour time block in your schedule for getting your nails done. They’re very sweet people and I recommend always tipping your service members in cash!"

"They did an amazing job... not only is this the only place that I have EVER been able to find who does AMAZING job on marble nails, but he did a fantastic job. He went above and beyond since I also wanted purple ombre nails. He made multiple different nails with different shades and techniques before I landed on this one. I have gotten so many compliments from co-workers and friends alike. I also wanted a butterfly (not due to their name, but to honor a loved one who passed a long time ago). Update: everything Steve had done has been amazing!! All photos have been done by Steve!"
