"My daughter signed up for soccer for the first time, and it's been a "few" years since I've played, so I wanted to shop at a store where employees would take some time to show me around and explain what to look for in the various items we needed. I've always had a great experience at various Big 5s, so I stopped into the Poulsbo store first because it was closest. The employees at Poulsbo were clearly NOT interested in helping us out, even though I spoke with two separate people and asked specifically for help. I told my kids I'd rather take my business elsewhere, to a store with good customer service. We drove to Silverdale, and they did not disappoint! As soon as I walked in, two employees and a manager immediately greeted us and asked what they could help us find. I explained that my daughter had just signed up for soccer, and I would like help finding appropriate cleats, shin guards, socks, etc.. The manager showed us around the store, gave us pointers on what to look for, different features (some of which may not be necessary and added expense), and gave us space to look. While we looked, he and his employees checked in with us frequently enough so we felt helped, but not in an annoying way. :) We left the store with everything we needed and some water shoes, because we'd been meaning to get some of those anyway. I told the manager about how we ended up at his store and thanked him and his staff for the great service."

"Staff was very friendly outgoing and knowledgeable about their products. Prices are reasonable, and they have many optional sporting goods to choose from. I do recommend Big 5 sporting goods. The manager help me along with an employee they were very professional and outgoing. I felt like the customer comes first at this Silverdale location."
