"Completely let down by Tom James and Allen Edmonds. Bought a "high quality" Allen Edmonds loafer that "will last you the rest of your life" from my Tom James consultant. 5 months later, a large rip appeared in the top edge of one of those shoes. Tom James pointed at Allen Edmonds, Allen Edmonds pointed at Tom James, I've tried multiple times to get someone to care to solve my issue, but no results. The shoes are currently sitting at some Allen Edmonds repair center as "unrepairable". Complete disappointment. Neither one of these companies will see my business again."

"Helen, has been a lifesaver for a couple expedited alteration requests, one involving fit and measure. Extremely helpful, and obviously a professional. Quality results, expedient service, and a joy, with whom to interact."

"Mark is the best. He has a great sense of what I like. He helps me order the right sizes and he his extremely responsive. He makes sure I am satisfied when the order arrives and stays in touch during the year."

"Worst $1700 I’ve ever spent. I needed a quality suit for my wedding… The only thing that is saving this from one star is the associate whom I worked with. Very friendly, nice and professional. The suit itself- absolutely terrible. I’m not sure where the disconnect was between ordering and in the factory- but there was a massive one. I brought in a photo of the suit style I was looking for which was skinny, form fitting. When I initially received it- the suit looked like it belonged on a 6’7, 350 lb man. For comparison- I’m 6’0, 195 lbs. The suit was long, baggy and did not fit at all. I went home, tried it on again in front of some friends and they agreed it needed to go back for an alteration. I brought it back to Tom James which was semi frustrating given I was just measured less than 2 months ago. The turnaround time for this second alteration- was relatively quick at 4 days. I brought the suit back home a second time- showed my mom and her friend- who works in the fashion space. They both thought it wasn’t custom. And thought the pants were massive and jacket was slightly too big (which they were). They suggested to go get a 3rd opinion from another store. I decided to get a few other opinions- I went to Nordstrom, Mario’s, and an independent suit consultant (with the suit). None of the staff I saw at those stores thought it was custom. Luckily Mario’s was so helpful- they had 3 people in the store (male, female and their in house tailor) helping me. They understand current fashion trends, saw the photo of what I was looking for and will have an alteration done within a few days. Unfortunately they said the shoulders are way too puffy and are they are not able to fix it given the time it takes to adjust that area of the jacket. When I spend almost 2k on a suit- I would expect maybe one alteration. Unlikely unless I lost/gained a ton of weight in a short period. It took me 3 visits at Tom James, a visit to Nordstrom and Mario’s just to get things right. I don’t think I have an abnormal body either- 6’0 is a fairly common size and the fashion consultants at Mario’s/Nordstrom agreed. I’m 2 weeks away from my wedding without a suit and it is quite frustrating."
