About the Business

Ivar's Seafood Bar

Ivar's Seafood Bar, located at 9910 Edmonds Way in Edmonds, Washington, is a beloved institution with a rich history dating back to 1938. From its humble beginnings of selling fish 'n chips on Seattle's waterfront, Ivar's has expanded to include multiple locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Marysville and Tacoma. The dining experience at Ivar's includes 18 fast casual Seafood Bars and three full-service waterfront-view restaurants: Ivar's Acres of Clams, Ivar's Salmon House, and Ivar's Mukilteo Landing. Additionally, Ivar's operates stadium concessions at T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field, Cheney Stadium, and Husky Stadium. Whether you visit the flagship location on Pier 54 in Seattle, the Northwest Native-American Longhouse with views of Lake Union, or the casual quick serve restaurants scattered throughout the region, you can expect the same award-winning seafood that has made Ivar's a Northwest dining legacy. The late Ivar Haglund's entrepreneurial spirit and classic Northwest seafood recipes continue to delight guests to this day.

"Always love to get fish n chips at Ivars. It's always good. It does seem like the fish portions have gotten smaller over the years tho."

"I was surprised at the amount of fries I received with my order. I had expected a skimpy serving and ordered extra fries. Big mistake. lol Don't know why Seafood is so expensive, but enjoyed my meal, very much."

"Great view, awesome food. One caveat: we waited half an hour for a table. One waitress led us outside and said only outside table was available or we’d wait for another hour. It was windy outside and my kiddo didnt like it. So we went back to the waiting queue. I then went ahead and told another waitress that we would pass on sitting outside. Then she said we had plenty of indoor tables and we were led to our table. I was not sure why the first person said no while there were plenty of tables - I felt belied. Overall the food was great. Ordered wild halibut and it was wonderful - decent balance among fish, spinach, and sour milk, plus rice. Definitely worth it!"

"Hands down the best chain for clam chowder. The clam chowder bowl is amazing with a big amount to eat. The oyster and chips was amazing and huge! The cod and fish was amazing also. Clean place as well. The lady working the front was friendly and helpful. The guy in the kitchen sure can prepare some great food. The cod didn’t have a lot of breading like most fish and chip places do. Great time coming in today. Worth the visit."
