"Idk who this place is for. I feel like the food menu is an afterthought for the beverage concept. To keep this short: The savory Waffle sounded like a good idea but it's just sweet on soft and not satisfying. The chicken katsu sandwich is not better than the sum of its parts, which was grossly disappointing. Didn't have any drinks because I came here specifically to try something adventurous. Unfortunately, this was less like safari and more like a zoo. That includes a bit of FOH chaos that might just be a staffing issue. Still, it didn't feel like they had a grasp on service, as a whole. This visit was several weeks so maybe they've found their footing since then. Still, the overall inattentiveness to detail doesn't encourage me to return."

"Amazing breakfast. We got the neighborhood plate which came with pork longanisa and the scramble. Food was so tasty, and came out quick. We also ordered the coffee flight which was really good. No complaints at all! Definitely will be back soon."

"Neighborhood Cafe did not disappoint for its grand opening! The Filipino fare satisfied with full portions and delightful flavors. We started with the coffee flight, a super-sweet good-sized sample of 4 different lattes, heavy on flavors and light on coffee. I don’t care for coffee, so I enjoyed the sweetness, but most may find it overly so. My husband and I shared House Hash and the Savory Waffle. The House Hash was a just right mix of flavors, topped with sawsawan sauce. We both agreed this was the favorite, and I will order it again. The Savory Waffle was enjoyed by my husband, but a bit overwhelming with a multitude of competing flavors for me to eat as much of it. I can’t wait to try more of the menu (ube! longanisa!). Staff were amazing, setting was stylish, and food was memorable. Get there early before ube biscuits run out!!!"
