"I live close and have tried it many times. I, sincerely, want to like it. However, the food not only tastes bland but has given me a belly ache the last 3 times I tried. The Drinks make me sick too. One margarita and I was sick sick before I got home until the next day. I was dumb enough to try that 2 different times! Never again. And who ever knows when they are open? Nice building and often closed. Not sure how they get by. Food carts, Gresham or even Welches is the better choice for good food."

"I love this place so much that I went back 2 days after my first visit. Staff at La Bamba, including the Chihuahua, made my dining experience super enjoyable. The food is authentic and delicious - With each bite, I was transported to the vibrant streets of Mexico. Right after we sat down, I was already impressed with the free salsa for the table. The menu boasts a wide array of dishes, and I highly recommend the butter garlic shrimp appetizer. Each succulent shrimp was perfectly cooked and coated in a heavenly garlic-infused butter sauce. The combination of richness and tanginess was simply divine. I also found myself surprised by the amount of food I received for the price paid. It's a rarity to find such generous portions without compromising on taste and quality. Whether you're looking for a quick meal on your way to the mountain or a memorable dinner, La Bamba will exceed your expectations and leave you craving for more."

"Update: August 14th, 2022. We dined inside the restaurant for the first time in awhile. I got a taste of what real, homely service feels like again and it was quite refreshing. Speaking of fresh things, the food was perfect! I ordered a #6 burrito w/ground beef, no beans, extra rice. The amount of extra rice is exactly how much I was hoping for. I LOVE THE RICE. The ground beef was tasty and cooked just right. The burrito was NOT drowning in the sauce and cheese which also wasn't overwhelming the flavor of that delicious ground beef. The owner is a fantastic person, very patient and a very hard worker. The service is helpful, so patient, and friendly. My boyfriend introduced me to his hometown of Sandy around 4 years ago and the first take out meal I ate was from La Bamba, it was a 1 minute drive from our house! I was so happy to find a classic mexican restaurant near me, we ate here every Friday for 3 months straight. Now that we have moved slightly farther away (about 10 minutes) we try our best to eat here as often as possible. I enjoy supporting small town restaurants!"
