"This has always been a great stop on the way to the beach for Years, not sure why I haven't written about this place before?. Burgers are fresh and hearty, fries are hot and crispy, shakes think and cold. Don't expect a quick turnaround, everything is cooked to order. You won't be disappointed."

"I went there as part of a road trip around the peninsula and the food was very good although the portion could have been a little larger. But what made my experience outstanding was the service, somehow my cards didn't work and I didn't have enough cash on me to pay for my meal, but the server helped me out big time so that I could still enjoy their food. Thank you again for the generosity and for giving me a little more faith in humanity! I'll make sure to pay it forward and to come back the next time I'm in the area!"

You see, growing up around here, Gene's Stop and Go (probably because it's just a stone's throw from my parents' place) and the Crow's Nest hold a special place in my heart. They're woven into my core memories, filled with nostalgia, and my recollection of their burgers was nothing short of mouthwatering. Fast-forward a couple of decades, and I found myself going back, solo, to grab one of those beloved burgers to go. But here's the thing: the reality didn't quite match the legend I'd built up in my mind. That $12 burger, while decent, felt a tad overpriced, and the size? Well, let's just say that childhood perceptions have a way of making things seem larger than life. I was half-expecting a colossal burger, and, as it turns out, my expectations were a bit overcooked (pun absolutely intended). It's a lesson, really, that the size of things in our childhood memories often doesn't measure up when we revisit them as adults. So, while my taste buds might have been chasing ghosts of burgers past, the experience was a reminder that sometimes, cherished memories are best left untouched."

"Two Small pieces of fish in the fish fries meal and its over $12.00. After eating the meal im left with almost what I started with. One piece of fish was good with only a little rubbery parts, but the other piece was all rubber. Potato salad was like the store bought kind. The Fries Tarter and fry sauce were good . Nice employees and all, I can just say dont buy the fish."
