Pickled Fish

"I got the wings and the dirty fries from the happy hour menu. The wings were really well flavored although a little on the dry side. The dirty fries live up to their name - truly covered in duck bacon, goat peppers, and sauce, and they were fantastic! It was a great place to watch the sunset"

"Nice spot with great views! On the top floor of the Adrift Hotel, the restaurant looks out to the beach and a popular access point. The staff was friendly and the overall vibe was warm and inviting (especially with the twinkle lights for the holidays). Everyone at our table enjoyed the food and the couple next to us commented on how it was the freshest seafood they've ever had. I had the fish and chips, which had a light flakey batter, but unfortunately was mostly soggy (I think I might have just been unlucky on a busy night). Fries were crispy and had some sort of seasoning/herb that I couldn't quite identify. Large free parking lot."

"There were a lot of people because the Sunset view was a great restaurant. It's a restaurant on the 4th floor of the hotel room, and the price was rather high, but the atmosphere was good and it was good to listen to live music. The food was just normal, and I recommend it because it's a place to visit once."

"Reviews and ratings were scary but we tried anyways! VERY happy we did, and I have a higher standard than the average throwing out 5 stars. This place nailed it from food, service, and atmosphere. (First triple 5 I gave out this entire trip.) We started with drinks which my wife’s marg was great in both of our opinions and I had an ipa. Moved on to the clams with sourdough on the side. Clams were done well and contrary to other reviews the sourdough crushed it too (my wife makes homemade SD so I’m a snob). My wife had the mushroom cassoulet which she loved, nice balance of flavors. I had the wagyu bacon burger, ordered to the chefs preference (don’t be the person who orders it well done), and it was divine. It came with a side of fries that were also so fresh and crispy. Our server was so patient, informative, and friendly. The other staff including host and someone who had run food was great too. We did stop at the bar prior to reservations to check out the happy hour menu which was a bit disappointing. The tender was also miserable so we just decided to sit and go from there! Pickled fish is the most modern and appealing dinning room of all of Long Island that we saw. It helped that we sat at a two top facing the coast. Doesn’t get much better there."

"My favorite restaurant of our trip. What a great find up on the fourth floor of the Adrift hotel, affording fantastic views of the beach from two sides. Really creative menu where pickled items are either the star or a side on many choices. We got the pickled vegetables and were delighted to find it included pickled cherries as well. We also tried the fried oysters and chow chow and loved how darkly crisp the coating on the oysters was. The sourdough from Blue Scorcher was the perfect accompaniment."
