Whitnall Park

"Whitnall Park is one of Milwaukee's 'hidden gems' that has so much more than meets the eye when you start to go beneath the surface. There are other 'parkways' with small parks but Whitnall is special. From the Wehr Nature Center to the Botanical Garden, to a hidden lake to a golf course you can visit there and do something different every time. You can hike beautiful paths that seem remote in the city. You can play frisbee go. There is a seasonal Beer Garden. If you live in the vicinity of it, Whitnall Park is an adventure in your backyard."

"I went here for China lights and had a really good time with my friend. Parking was 10 dollars but free parking was avaliable with a shuttle service."

"Came for China Lights. Was beautiful at night. Only slight inconvenience was the closer parking lot was full so we had to park at a further lot and take a school bus."

"Whitnall Park Pond trails. This was beautiful! Free entrance and free parking in the lot right before the golf course. It was 90 degrees this day, but a beautiful breeze. It was very humid in some spots where the trees crowded in. Several different trail options, we did the trail around the pond. It was cleared with a wood chip path to follow. Around the pond is not wheel chair friendly. The path is easy to navigate on foot, but there were a lot of places with slight inclines, nothing steep, but not a straight level shot. It was about 1.5 miles walk. Lots of birds, even saw a deer close enough to touch (I did not), frogs, lizards, flowers and a small waterfall. There are benches throughout. No bathrooms at this section of the park. Planning to come back in fall for some of the longer trails when it’s not so hot!"
