"If I could give no stars I would. Don’t waste your time. My mother in law got a call LAST Sunday that her taxes were done and she could come pick them up. She let them know she would be in on Friday. (Yesterday). She goes in, they charge her, she pays, they hand her the envelope & she comes home & asks me to look & tell her what her return is (as they didn’t say anything, didn’t tell her return amt, no signing of anything, just took her money and handed her an envelope.) I open the envelope & pull everything out - all that is in the envelope is her last years taxes & the paperwork she provided to do this years. No 2022 filed paperwork, no 2022 taxes whatsoever. She calls back and asks them what is going on and they proceed to tell her that her taxes weren’t done. WHY WAS SHE CHARGED FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NOT PROVIDED?!?!? She then tells them to forget it, she would like a refund and to go get them done elsewhere. We go in to pickup her refund (which she paid in cash, not on a card) and they proceed to tell us they cannot give us a refund as they do not have the authority to authorize a refund, and hand us a card with a number and a name for another employee. We then proceed to call said employee & she tells us she cannot do it either. Long story short, they refused to refund my mother in law and refused to allow her to go elsewhere, bulldogged her into it and gave her no choice but to have her taxes done there or be out the almost $300 she paid. Then offer a $100 discount, that mind you, she has to WAIT for a district manager to approve & for a check to be sent IF it is approved. So disgusted and disappointed with the service and the way things were handled. Just beware if you go here and make sure things are done CORRECTLY. never again will we come here. Ever. To be basically forced into having to use their service when the taxes weren’t even finished & flat out given a refusal to refund us and allow us to go elsewhere? Just bad business practice. And I can guarantee I will make sure that she receives that check because I wouldn’t put it past them to hope we let it go & forget about it. SMH. Go somewhere trustworthy in my opinion."

"First time using H & R block. I was satisfied with the service to begin with, but upon reviewing my taxes I realized they had made a mistake. I called them asking about this and what to do. I went in and they printed out the forms for me to fix their mistake, for a service I paid for. Not even a simple sorry for their mistake and I now have to mail several forms out to fix it. Update I contacted them about the mistake they offered a small percentage refund for the service i paid for that wasnt performed correctly and never sent it so they just will lie about making things even somewhat right do not use this office and I really should contact the better business bureau"
