"I did ballet for many years starting as a child and dancing pre-professionally through high school and minored in dance in college. When I moved to Madison, I stopped dancing for almost two years before I found Ballet U's adult division. The adult division is great!! I started out taking classes with Karen who really focuses on establishing and utilizing strong technical skills. Her classes were so helpful to me because she encouraged us to work within our bodily limits, and asked for quality over quantity. After a few months I started taking Brian's class which were also amazing. As someone with a strong ballet background, his classes were great for practicing artistry and added an aspect of ballet choreography to class. Overall, the environment at Ballet U is exactly what you would want in an adult centered class. There is no competition to be the best or do the best, and all of the adult students are there to work on their own dancing. The studio is very welcoming, the teachers are personable, and the studio owner is right there taking classes with you. I would highly recommend the adult classes to anyone who wishes to ignite or re-ignite a passion for ballet."

"The adult ballet program is hands down the best there is available in the area. I only had a few months here and there of ballet as a child, but can remember wanting so much more. Ballet U has given me an opportunity to feel like a "real student" with the pacing and focus on technique that I think other adult classes gloss over. I have only had Stephanie as a teacher, and I can say she has a real gift of teaching. This is the place to go for a supportive and encouraging environment to make real progress. I I hope to continue learning and improving for years to come--I never imagined it would be possible for me to be so connected to dance at my age."
