"In my opinion, based on decades of martial arts training abroad and in the USA, this is a most highly commercialized establishment, requiring students/parents to purchase an expensive series of items on an ongoing basis...extra uniforms, plastic toy weapons, protective gear only from their own commercial brand, belts, testing fees, on and on. Also of profound concern to me is the frequent absence or tardiness of the instructor, leaving unsupervised junior staff to run the classes. Thus, the classes seem more like pass times or activities, rather than inspiring martial arts. Also peculiar, is the staff wearing uniforms displaying bold titles such as WORLD CHAMPION, REGIONAL CHAMPION, STATE CHAMPION, etc. In my humble opinion, this is not a place for my family to train and learn. Update: We did schedule a few meetings to personally ask why Bowman was absent from teaching so often, or distracted with other business while in the building...with no acceptable replacements. I affirmed that we had paid for him to teach, and because of his absences, students did not receive the paid services as promised. Every time we were assured that the absenteeism would be corrected...it was not, so we gladly left this place."

The instructors have versatile experience, skills and knowledge making it great for adults just starting out as well as those with advanced training. Excellent place for those seeking to improve general fitness or build some self-defense skills. The kids curriculum is great and has good structure, but is also fun and engaging for the kids. Mr. Bowman runs a tight ship and keeps parents in the know!"
