"The staff filing my taxes made negative comments and I ended up getting rejected I couldn't even file no where else and couldn't go to see somebody until I sent pictures of the social I handed to them already up there then they dropped the whole status of the rejection and all and I filed online everything played out cool just took longer then expected"

"I scheduled an appointment Friday, I was contacted by the receptionist to let me know no one was going to be available. I rescheduled for today at 2Pm. Once again I was contacted and told there wouldn’t be a tax preparer available and I rescheduled for 6:15 after I got off work. When I booked my appointment on Friday I spoke to the man on the phone that gave me an estimate for my simple tax return at $150. So at 6:13 I come into the office and sit patiently until the receptionist let the tax preparer know i arrived. When she came from around her cubicle she looked scared for some reason. When we sat down she was visibly uncomfortable and typed her passwords on her computer incorrectly several times as I pulled out my W2. “She then says how can I help you today?” I kind of giggled and said just my taxes today. Then she says “ let’s go over the pricing so we can see if you’re comfortable paying it. Which was strange wording for me but I didn’t think too much of it. Mind you at this point the ONLY question she has asked is “how can I help you today” then another woman walks up and the tax preparer excuses herself to speak with her. The other woman said “you told me my appointment was at 6:15” she replied “it’s fine, I’ll be right with you, I’m almost finished. Mind you live just sat down and I was told it would be about a 45 min process. So then she sits back down and immediately says “the price is going to be $300” and I said well I was told it would be $150 at the most because it’s a simple tax return. She said “you have children to claim and other forms” again SHE NEVER ASKED ME IF I HAD DEPENDENTS she just made an assumption I guess from my sole W2. As I stood up and collected my paperwork she said “you can take it out of your return it’s not a problem” I told her the price was only one of the problems, i really feel like she was trying to get rid of me because she had double booked. To think I was about to give her a dime of my hard earned money how rude she was to me. I went home and filed my taxes FOR FREE on the H&R Block website. I hope no one else has this experience and I hope people just go online and do it themselves instead of being scammed like I almost was."
