"Pros : This is not an office of generic "accountants," each has between 5 and 10 years of experience in a given specialty, and will be assigned to you depending on the kind of work that needs to be done. For example, if you call in about an audit notice, Lee Assaf, a former IRS agent, will be assigned to you, whereas if you call in about a mortgage or homeowner's association, Parisa Samiya will handle it. I'm not sure about the competence of the other specialists, but Lee Assaf, their IRS worker, was more competent than I had any right to expect. Unless the situation is murky and rushed, the amount of hours worked on an issue will generally match their estimate. Don't imagine that you'll need to pay hundreds of dollars for your return, either. Because not all of the employees here are CPAs, although they have the "big guns" in reserve for anomalies or exceptions, they can afford to charge much lower prices for smaller returns. Cons : The office is in Milpitas, which can be quite a ways away from central San Jose. It seems like it is difficult for the office to take on new customers during the lead-up to the Corporate Filing Deadline. Because most of their business is through referrals, it can be difficult to get a quick impression sight-unseen. I took a chance, though, and was pleased with my experience, for what it's worth."
