Moore Creek Park

Moore Creek Park, located at 2602 Chiles Pope Valley Road in St. Helena, California, is a beautiful park offering 1,600 acres of rugged terrain for outdoor enthusiasts to explore. This park features Oak woodlands, Douglas Fir & Madrone forest, grasslands, and chaparral, making it a diverse and scenic destination for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use.

Visitors to Moore Creek Park can enjoy the newly opened Moore Creek Trail Redux, which offers a challenging and scenic route for hikers and bikers. The park also features the Hennessey Unit, which provides stunning views of Lake Hennessy and its surrounding watershed.

Wildlife is abundant in Moore Creek Park, with sightings of black bears, mountain lions, bobcats, gray foxes, and coyotes possible. The park was originally a cattle ranch before being acquired by the Napa Open Space District in 2008.

There are no fees to visit Moore Creek Park, but donations are accepted to support the ReLeaf Napa Fund and help build more trails in the park. Amenities include a parking lot for all size vehicles, equestrian trailer parking, an ADA portable restroom, and some accessible trails. Please note that there is no potable water available at the park.
