"Poor communication. Plumber went on site to fix 4 things. A tub stopper, shower diverter valve, bathroom sink stopper and calking around the kitchen sink. The only job that got completed was calking the kitchen sink. Call several times. Different people answer the phone every time so there’s no continuity. I would love to get a status on the three remaining items that need to be fixed."

"Initially thought we were going to need to replace a toilet at my parents rental, but Lewis called me and said he found a plastic toy in the toilet that was causing the stoppage. He saved my parents that expensive cost which was just awesome especially since days earlier they paid to clear a tub stoppage at the same rental....not cheap to do, but everything is more expensive these days. His honesty and great work saved my parents that expensive cost which is so appreciated since this rental is my parents retirement income they live off of. Thank you Lewis, we truly appreciate you! "I read all the great reviews for Castroville Plumbing so called them up when we had a clogged pipe.  Setting up the appointment was easy and they had someone available to come out same day which was fantastic.  We were told $60 trip charge and when problem was assessed, the trip charge would be credited to any work we had done.  Plumber arrived in scheduled window and was very nice and seemed very competent.  So far all is going great! The problem came when we were quoted over $900 for the job which was to remove a toilet and snake a drain.   My husband was shocked as it was only an hour or two or work so that price seemed outrageous, but we were told they quote by the job and that is the cost. So we paid the nice technician his $60 and said no thanks.   We hired a different plumber that charged by the hour (not the job) and our cost for the work to fix the problem (remove toilet and  snake drain) which took a bit over an hour was less than $200! Maybe if you have a big job or money is not a concern, then these guys seemed to be great.  However, their pricing was ridiculous for what we needed done.  Very disappointed in the way they priced our small job.. my husband said he would snake it himself for $900. Five stars for their customer service and personnel but minus three stars for their pricing."

"Outstanding, courteous, knowledgeable technician, Alonzo, had a busy schedule today but took the time to answer my questions about the work he was doing in installing an automatic water shutoff valve to our home. We appreciated Paul, the owner, coming out the same day we called for an estimate. Excellent customer service skills! We highly recommend Castroville Plumbing."

"I sent a email to Castroville Plumbing near midnight and Kevin responded quickly. The next morning our Tech Alonso from Castroville Plumbing showed up on time and got right to the problem. Had our backup fixed quickly and left everything super clean. He was also very knowledgeable about the plumbing in our home with only taking a quick glance in the crawl space. Alonso explained the problems and gave solutions that made perfect sense. Highly recommend Castroville Plumbing and I'll know who to call for our next repair. Thanks!"
