"One of the advisor employees is Gregory McCloskey. Three years ago I retained Mr McCloskey to assist me with my finances. I opened an account with him that stipulated that my primary objective was a balance between capital appreciation and income, with the primary objective being capital appreciation. As a 72 year old senior I did not want to take on any high risk investments, and wanted to insure that I would not loose any of my principal. He insured me that my principal would be safe. Over the ensuing years I occasionally monitored my investments that he had selected, and became concerned that they were not showing any capital appreciation. To obtain a better understanding of the investments he had selected I did some independent research and was dismayed to discover that two of the investments, Mackenzie Realty Capital and GWG Holdings were private investments, not public companies, and were considered as being HIGH RISK investments. Wondering why he would have chosen those investments for me, after further research I discovered that he had been paid an exorbitant commission to sell those investments and by doing so failed his fiduciary responsibility to his client by putting personal gain before client interest. I recently learned that GWG Holdings had suspended both interest payments and redemption payments effective immediately. Therefore my $100,000 investment in GWG Holdings which was scheduled for redemption on January 31st, 2022 will not occur. Bottom line, Gregory McCloskey is not to be trusted, and anyone considering entrusting their retirement nest egg to him should not do so, Like me, you could end up loosing most, if not all of it."
