"I wish this would have been a positive review, but I’m sitting here on my floor over a week later still deep-cleaning my house after a move-in ‘cleaning’ with MaidPro Temecula. I reached out to MaidPro for a bid a couple of weeks ago wanting our new house to be clean in time for our move. We planned to use our only annual vacation week to unpack and get settled in. In the very first phone conversation, and even when they did an onsite bid/evaluation, I questioned several times if they are able to do this job. The house was neglected for several years and very dirty. It would be a challenging job. They continued to reassure me they could. Carmen the bidder even said oh, we’ve seen worse. They quoted $972 stating they would reach out if additional time was needed for my authorization. I gave specific instructions and things to clean and avoid cleaning as I would not be onsite. The house was vacant. A few hours into the appointment, I was told they could not wash the walls because the stucco finish was brittle. No problem, Please just dust them. Our flooring people were running behind doing the 2 largest rooms in the house. I told them to skip them, no problem. I checked in again and they told me the crew just left the house, and there were mouse droppings in the cabinets and they did their best they could to clean them. (Not their department to handle- but I let it go) I arrived at the house later expecting it to feel clean - it did not. Some of the cobwebs were gone and the 3 bathrooms looked better, but all of the flooring and several other areas of the house that should have been cleaned still looked dirty. I assumed maybe it is the style of Spanish tile that makes the tile look that way (as you can tell in 2 before photos vs my cleaning job, apparently not!) I assumed they did their best, although I wish they would have asked for more time if they needed it. I called to get the final billed amount and their billing person stated they cleaned for a total of 19 labor hours instead of 13.5, and expressed to me almost as if they did me a favor by not charging. I asked about the two largest rooms they did not clean, and she stated they spent the extra time on the mouse droppings and making sure the bathrooms were ‘extra clean’. They offered to reclean the kitchen backsplash which was one immediate item I noticed wasn’t touched along with the stovetop. I was so upset and disappointed that I had my husband handle from there on. He finally got credited $180 for the two large rooms that weren’t available to clean. We moved in 2 days later and I had a chance to see everything that was never done. I got to spend my entire week of vacation cleaning our house after paying $700 for 4 people to do it. I never got to unpack. I’m still cleaning and my ‘vacation’ spent cleaning (with my toddler clinging to me the entire time) ended yesterday. The cleaning crew and dispatch had horrible communication and judgement. I would have much rather had them say, sorry, this job is too challenging for us, or maybe during the cleaning - hi, there’s mouse droppings in your house, we can’t proceed (the first I ever heard of this was after they left), or maybe call for more time if they needed it. Other than a few cobwebs missing and a few areas dusted, windows cleaned and bathrooms cleaned, this was a total rip off. Imagine hiring a chef to cook dinner but the chef noticed the lawn needed to get mowed instead. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone who needs help with a deep cleaning. Imagine all of the cleaning supplies someone could have bought themselves with $700 clean their own house instead. Beware!"
