"DO NOT GO HERE if you want your taxes done correctly and professionally. I am specifically speaking about Tax Advisor Marguerite Guerrero. I lost total trust in her ability to understand and execute tax law due to several major mistakes she made and alarming comments she made. I went in Linda Mar H & R Block on March 10th, 2022, to do my taxes. I made it clear that I needed my taxes done quickly because I needed that final doc to send to a lender to buy a house. First off, I added all my docs to the portal ahead of time but she said she could not access them, had me go to my house and get my laptop, and then send all of them to her individually. Three hours later she told me I owed money and I HAD TO REMIND HER that I contributed to my IRA. She apologized for forgetting about it and I was owed money after that. She informed me I could expect my refund within a few days to a week. When that time came and went I had to call and she told me that they were in peer review. Then a got a stream of emails asking follow-up questions which I answered. When I called to check the status she dodged my calls and told the front desk person to tell me that she was working on them. I have called every other day and I keep getting told by a third party that she would have them done that night or the next morning. This has happened several times. It is now April 8th, 2022, and when I called this morning, she was the one to answer the phone so I asked her what was going on. Without going into personal details about my taxes, she said that a real estate part of it was the issue. This lady Marguerite then said that the other tax advisors in the office knew more than her. Mind you, my taxes are the same as last year, which were filed without a hitch. I asked her why she couldn't perform her duties and get my taxes filed when they were the same as last year. She said that she would not jeopardize her tax license for anyone. No one was trying to come for her license! This woman did not apologize to me, dodged my calls repeatedly, and my taxes are still not done. When I called customer service they were able to get me an appointment today with a different Master Tax Advisor from a different office and they were nice about it. Seriously, if you want your taxes done correctly with the care and attention hey deserve, DO NOT GO HERE."
