"BEWARE CLOSING TIME INCORRECT!!!Needed to go on a Sunday night and checked on Google and Apple Maps, for the closing time, which was listed as 11 PM on both. Arrived at the 3rd Ave Chula Vista store around 10:30 PM and checked the hours on the front door, which also said 11 PM, with doors wide open. However, while inside quickly grabbing what I needed, an employee stopped me and said the store was closed, even though I told her that the posted hours on the door said 11 PM and it’s only 10:30 PM. Without apologizing for the incorrect posted hours, all she said was “no, we are closed now.” Why leave your doors open when you’re closed and not post the correct closing time, even if it’s written on a piece of paper taped to the glass?"

"The party supplies area was pretty empty. The prices for the decorations aren't't cheap. I spent $60ish on three table covers, two bags of balloons, a happy birthday sign, two bags of plastic utensils, three bags of three count handing decorations."

"Seriously, if you don't check here first for produce you're throwing money away. Great assortment of everything. The $1.49 bread rack always rates a look. Seasonal decor, cards and crafting needs, so much to look at. You can be skeptical, but don't knock it unless you've been there."

"The location beside Ross on 3rd Ave is PATHETIC. I walked in expecting everything to be 99 cents. A scam and a disgrace!! 5 percent of the store is under a dollar. I selected three items under 4 bucks. I get into the checkout line, it turns into 5.50. I showed them the prices, and they were all mislabeled. One item said 1.29, and a worker said it was the price for two. She barely spoke English. You have lost my sales for lying to people. I will never set foot into that place EVER again. A bunch of liars and cheats. If HR or a higher up tries to respond this review, it will be ignored. I can't believe what a rip off the place is. I won't fall for your tactics, but other people will."

"The 99 cents only store where nothing is 99 cents anymore........ It was bound to happen eventually but thanks Many things over the last few yearsThis place does not offer things on discount anymthe things I used to find here inexpensively are now way overpriced and I'm not talking about name brands off brands any brand overpriced...... Not just a raised price but overpriced.......... I don't come to this store for name brands but these 2 brands in my photos caught my eye today as I just bought both of them recently at another store much cheaper...... Do your due diligence and shop around if you actually intend to save money........."
