"Previously had TMS here a couple years ago. Nursing staff completed risk assessment with me during each session. I endorsed suicidal thoughts every time and they provided no interventions. I ultimately made an attempt on my life and reported it to nursing staff during a follow-up appt. I was placed on a 72 hour hold. I was really upset and called my mom and was talking very loudly on my phone. Kaiser had an aggressive security guard come in and threaten to take my phone, so I lowered my voice. After I got out of the hospital, I attempted to resume TMS and they refused to treat me, citing my severe depressive symptoms. They’ve been refusing me TMS services since then and this was in January 2021. Kaiser does not provide quality service like they used to. I hope they keep getting sued."
"The most worst annoying service. The doctor over there assess pts on zoom 1 day only with HIPPA ( adding another person on zoom too .means another patient and family .without any prior notification) and discuss issues and assessing patient with in 1 hour. Then give life long disorder label without checking patient in person. When i requests doctor to see us in-person she totally refused. Surprise. So now kaiser have highly advanced technology the doctors can assess pt on zoom no need to see pt.. . Kaiser have very bad quality of service . Very unsatisfied"
"The receptionists are very kind. The mental health care provided, on the other hand, is a disgrace and disappointment. Wait times are excessive and unacceptable. It takes about a month to make an appointment with a psychiatrist, and chances are, you might not be provided the right medication or the psychiatrist may not know how to treat your specific condition(s) especially if you are comorbid, or what you might need moving forward. After trying to utilize mental health resources from Kaiser for years, I can honestly say that they had offered nothing that had benefited me in any positive way. At one point, I came in to utilize their TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) services. I would come in prepared and have filled out their Y-BOCS OCD screening tool, and was ready to move forward with the TMS. When the psychiatrist came back, he notified me that because I was not paired with an ERP therapist at Kaiser yet, I can not do the TMS yet, and that they will contact me again to set things up with me. It’s been almost a year, and they have not contacted me. I also wanted to point out that when I was paired with a therapist at Kaiser, she was not specialized in ERP and was not qualified to treat people with OCD. There are many psychiatric conditions that are listed in the DSM-5-TR, and it is important to recognize that solely having a health care title (“psychiatrist” or “therapist”) does not equate to specialization in treating a particular condition. I would give a negative star review if that was an option."
"Absolutely terrible mental health services. I have unfortunately had Kaiser for a few years now. Many individuals within the department are wonderful, but the system Kaiser has in place does nothing to support them, or you as a patient. Kaiser consistently breaks California laws on mental health timely care regulations, and has been fined millions. Kaiser’s own employees consistently speak out about the policies that prohibit them from providing quality care necessary for the health and well-being of their patients. (Most recent strike in 2019) Thank you to those medical professionals who care about their patients and fight back against Kaiser, which is quite obviously profit first."
"You matter, and so does your mental health. Easy to find once you understand it's a separate area from the Fremont Kaiser Medical Offices and hospital across the street (Civic Center Drive) and easy to park at. Polite receptionist and nice quiet and spacious waiting area on floor 2. This location opened mid 2019 I'm told. Make sure to use the entrance to the left of the Fremont Surgery Center entrance."
