"Being a multiple pet household, we often find ourselves in need of veterinary services. VCA valley oak has become our first choice even though we live 1.5 hours drive away and have much closer options. The staff is always kind, compassionate, efficient, and professional. We recently brought our beloved 13 year old cat, Nick, to an urgent appointment when we learned he is terminally ill. Dr. Lettner support through the extremely emotional and difficult decision and process of putting him down the same day was extremely helpful. I can’t imagine how much harder this would have been without it. They are not the cheapest option around, but worth every penny. We will come again with our new kittens, hopefully only for routine care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

"The vet on 5th street said the earliest they could see my cat was in twelve days with no offers of emergency services. I called Valley Oak and they said there was a 4 day wait but for $30 extra, (emergency services) they could help me same day. They were fantastic and not only super nice but very educational."

"Watch out for this place when you’re a new patient. When you make the initial apt they take a non refundable deposit over the phone just in case you don’t show up.well I showed up so let’s see if they refund me my deposit or if they are a fraudulent company as well… I made the first available apt on a Saturday at 8am for two pets . When I got the reminder call the day before I asked if I could be early because I was on a tight schedule and couldn’t be there more than an hour . She said that they set aside 30 minutes for each Pet just in case but definitely shouldn’t take that long. So because i couldn’t be early I had to get my kids rdy to tag along just in case the apt went longer and we pulled in at 8:05. I would have called to say we were running a few minutes behind but she said they wouldn’t be open to answer the phone. So we walked in at 8:07. First thing she says was because we were 10 minutes late we couldn’t be seen or they could see one pet and not the other . I explained that she said we had plenty of time scheduled on the books so running a few minutes behind shouldn’t have mattered. The doctor comes and pipes in by raising his voice to me saying that we could leave because that’s not what’s happening unless I want 15 minutes to see one pet. Yeah no way you’re touching my animals after coming out like that super unprofessional . I have never had a doctor talk to me like that and raise their voice and have his front desk staff sit there with the matter of fact rude attitude like they told me off and were so proud of themselves . They should be so ashamed that is the type of customer service they give . How unprofessional!!! Watchout for this one."
