"Had my new patient visit, (which was also my annual physical). Had asked to check ears as my wife must sometimes repeat herself. Doctor observed ears and proceeded to perform what ended up being a pretty painful ear cleaning with a tweezer-like tool. During, I mentioned that I typically clean my own ears using over-the-counter cleaning kit. Had to stop mid 2nd ear due to pain. He then requested to the nurse (or assistant) to flush both ears. My issue here is that he did not mention that this was an additional fee (~$340) service. I would have liked the option to choose whether or not to proceed with their cleaning or clean myself as usual using $15 kit. I’m sure I signed something somewhere saying this is allowed, but transparency (even when you don’t have to be) promotes trust. Also did not mention prostate check at all, which I have been getting for the past couple years but forgot (so partially my fault) and now have to schedule a new appointment for with my new doc. Called billing to see what they could do and they mentioned that Doc said service was warranted. Asked to discuss with building manager. Called me once and I missed the call. I called back and left a vm and never heard back."

"Clean, courteous assistance, respectful staff, nurses, and physicians. The office where Dr. Ching works is one of the friendliest that I've ever visited. He comes in and talks to the patient, and offers professional advice. He does not act you are just another number. I left Kaiser sometime ago for personal reasons. I am so glad to be associated with this office. I think the company should hire more office assistants, because it is hard to get through at times."
