Powell Dance & Performance Arts is a dynamic dance institution located in La Mesa, California. Our program is designed to provide students with a fulfilling and creative experience in dance-making and performance. We offer a safe and inspiring environment where students can explore their creativity, improve their coordination, and build confidence through dance.
At Powell Dance & Performance Arts, we offer a variety of dance genres and movement classes for youth ages 2 to 17, as well as engaging classes for adults. Our focus is not only on technique and fundamentals, but also on fostering a love for movement and dance. We believe that dance is a lifelong gift for the body and mind, and we strive to inspire our students to appreciate the art of dance.

"My daughter and I take the Mini Movers Class on Fridays. When we started my 2.5 year old daughter was very shy and wanted me to hold her the entire time. Now, we really love this class, my daughter has become increasingly less shy in class and does most of the exercises on her own. It is such a fun environment and I feel like I even get a bit of a workout in too. Win win!"
"I absolutely love this dance studio for my daughter Mavis. Her teacher Mr. Adrian is so nice and super patience with her. His soft spoken voice and demeanor is very friendly and Mavis absolutely love him. It’s a great way for kids to get their energy out. The price is well worth it and Mavis always always has a blast every single session, waiting to come back again. She love learning and dancing to ballet and they make it fun too. At the end of class, she’ll get free time to do a fun obstacle course which she just love it!!! We can’t wait for the next session"
