"First off, Professor Javier is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and patient with all of his students. I'm actually a parent of one (soon to be two) of his students and my wife and I are students ourselves. He has earned the love and respect of my entire family. For that I am grateful. The Kids Class: (Mon - Thurs 6:00pm to 7:00pm and Sat from 11:30am to 1:00pm) He was the only instructor in the area that was willing to train my daughter. My wife and I wanted to get her in a martial art as early as we felt comfortable. She started when she was 2 yrs. 10 months. It was challenging but Professor Javier was willing to work with Sarah and help her believe in herself. She has been at the school for over 1 yr now and she has improved quite a bit. At 3, she is still the smallest/youngest but she can beat some of the older kids now and she has built up friendships that will last for years to come. My wife and I were so impressed with Professor Javier's school that we both ended up joining as well. The Adult Class: (Mon - Thur 8:00pm to 9:30pm) Professor Javier does as great of with the adults as he does with the kids. He is always giving out instructions/pointers during the times when people are rolling on the mat. He truly cares for his students and wants them to succeed in BJJ. The other students are great as well. They are all willing to help you learn and are super patient. Most of the student will even give you feedback/tips as you are rolling with them to let you know what is working and what is not working or how to improve. There is a bond that develops in BJJ that is very different than other sports/martial arts. It truly is unique. If you are looking to loose weight and get a FULL body workout, BJJ is a great way. Give it a chance and you will be hooked."
