"This is the highest quality ballet school in San Francisco for both complete beginners and experienced dancers of any age. For reference, I had no previous ballet experience when I was younger. But I briefly took the intro and basic classes at LINES Ballet for 3 months before switching over to Terpsichora in March 2023. I started by taking the Level 1 workshop for 2 months and then taking the Level 1 and 2 workshops together for 6 months. Now I take the Level 2 workshop and 1-2 drop-in beginning classes each week. If you are also a beginning dancer, I would suggest starting with the Level 1 workshop and working your way up from there. Notes: - The class sizes are capped (usually no more than 15 people), which allows for individual attention and corrections as well as sufficient space on the barre - Ms. Liezl is extremely flexible and can demonstrate all of the movements precisely, which is something that the older instructors at LINES were unable to do - The studio and dance floor are very clean and new - Because of the smaller class sizes, you get to know your fellow dancers, and everyone is very kind and welcoming If you are interested in learning ballet in a structured way with rigorous attention to the fundamentals, I highly recommend Ms. Liezl's classes."

I started with Level1 absolute beginner workshop from zero all the way to Level2, intermediate and pointe. I never thought ballet was for me and was always intimidated to try it. I’ve been dancing in the adult beginner workshop series for years now and I highly recommend them for both a novice who’s never tried ballet before, or an experienced dancer who wants to sharpen their technique. I did not get to take ballet classes when I was a kid, so I was a little intimidated when I first started, but I had nothing to worry about— Liezl is a kind, approachable, and supremely knowledgeable teacher. The studio is welcoming with beautiful light and a great floor, and the other students have all been lovely and supportive— it’s a nice little dance community. "Liezl is an amazing teacher! She does an amazing job making ballet approachable but also gives you good amount of corrections so that you’re learning the techniques properly. If you’re a new adult ballet dancer, I recommend taking level 1 workshop on Saturdays if you’re totally new and beginner classes on weekdays during the day if you can make it (it tends to be not crowded so you will get plenty of attention)."
