"I switched insurance providers and was assigned Dr. Frank An. When I called, I was told Dr. An retired and an appointment was made with Dr. Raikhel. Had I looked at her reviews here, on Healthgrades, Vitals, Yelp, and other sites so I would have known better. Run far and run fast. The exterior is uninviting. Inside it seemed dirty, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since it's an older building. After reading other comments, I'm going to go with my initial instinct. The place was bad. The staff at the front desk all but ignored me. After they chatted for a while, I was handed the usual first patient paperwork. I was surprised I didn't wait long before being called, but then I was left in an exam room for over an hour without even the assistant checking if I was okay or ensuring the doctor was coming. I gave up and told the front desk I was leaving. The assistant rushed back, found the doctor, and told me to go back to the room. When Dr. Raikhel came in, she seemed very flustered. She had the nerve to tell me she would prefer it if she had more time to spend with her patients during their first visit. That's all well and good but where was she? I know, I know, I've never had a doctor that didn't make me wait, but this was ridiculous. Because I was in a hurry, she gave me two referrals that I needed and gave me some prescriptions I needed. They made a return appointment for me the next week for the complete physical. When we talked about my prescriptions, she handed me a card for some independent pharmacy in Lomita and insisted I must go there. When I told her I'd been going to CVS for 13 years, they knew me by my first name, and new my prescription history, she told me she has all kinds of problems with them and that I should go to this other pharmacy. When I told her I would not change she became very frustrated and said "Okay, okay, we'll hope we don't have any problems" As expected, CVS had my prescriptions in 30 minutes. No other doctor expressed a problem. This whole pharmacy thing seems fishy to me and because someone else mentioned it, I feel I should too. I should add that for over 10 years I've been taking a medication that is a controlled substance, which means I can't get more than a 30-day supply. Every doctor I've had has prescribed it to me for 30 days with 3 refills. Dr Raikhel insisted she can't do this. She claims because of the law that it can't be done. Instead, she insisted that I would have to go back every month and pay $20 for a new prescription. Of course, insurance doesn't pay for this and I gotta ask, $20 to fill out a slip of paper? Really? Can't she make a simple phone call? I never heard of this. I didn't feel right about going back so I checked online and after reading all the horrible reviews about her, and her staff, I canceled my new appointment and had my insurance change my primary care physician. Unless I get hit by a bus right in front of her clinic I will never go back. Even then, I'd have to think about it."

"Late on the first appointment doesn’t care enough to call and inform that she is in with another patient during my appointment time. Hours late. Don’t use if you can. Office staff doesn’t care enough to talk to their own doctor and inform her that she is late to my appointment"

"Please please please stay away from this Dr and her office. She does not spend time with patient and misses medications that are necessary. She made my grand father suffer and when we called her in emergency to call in a seizure medicine she refused to call it without seeing the patient again in 2 weeks because her schedule is full because she only works 2 hours a day. I hate to write bad reviews but this office and Dr Rakhal are stay away from them."

"No wonder why this clinic has one star, is in such a bad conditions, Plan parenthood has better installations and services, in this clinic they are so unprofessional, this "doctor" has been rescheduling my appointment for the last three weeks, with any reasonable reason. Anyways, I've asked my insurance to assign me another "doctor". Don't waist your time coming here, your health is first. You guys don't even deserve one star."
