I've been especially impressed with their support outside of business hours (through their hotline). The doctors responded within a hour and even followed up to see how I was doing."

"Update: they called me and said that’s their billing standard. Every new patient will be charged for $1000. And for the basic ultrasound, no matter you want it or not the doctor will do it without telling you there is an extra charge.and the blood drawn for prenatal check up somehow also won’t count into prenatal services.So be prepared to pay over $800 out of pocket for the first prenatal visit even if it’s in network and your insurance covers all your prenatal services. I wish I knew how they would charge before the visit not after a month and I had no choice other than paying the bill.that’s unfair to the consumer. ——————— Nothing wrong with the doctor so far.It’s just their billing department who has a big problem. They’re unprofessional.I had a routine prenatal visit which should be entirely covered by my insurance(they’re in-network provider ). However, their billing department sent the wrong billing codes to my insurance company. I have to pay over $800 for a 30 minutes routine prenatal visit.They used two codes meaning new patient/ out patient service and diagnostic ultrasound. These codes are unrelated to a routine prenatal visit. I had requested a code review but they wouldn’t make a change. I called in again then they told me to request a change of my medical record. I checked the doctor’s notes on the web portal. I don’t think I need to change anything. I was indeed a new patient but the nature of this visit is a routine prenatal visit. I did ultrasound but the ultrasound is part of the routine. They do it at first visit according to the information folder they provided. It’s not diagnostic.The problem lies in the judgement/assessment of the billing code department. I had two prenatal visits with a gynecologist prior to UCLA Health OB. We also did ultrasound to check the baby.I had a detailed ultrasound (NT) with another clinic as well.They all used correct billing codes so that I was fully covered by the insurance.I only had two visits so far and only received one bill. I don’t know what the rest of the bills will be like. I feel exhausted disputing this matter. I feel helpless if the billing department still don’t correct the code. I don’t want to pay for what I‘m not supposed to pay and the price is unreasonably high.I regret coming here.I’m thinking about leaving."

"The staff was nice in general. I only met with Dr. Valle for two appointments. I am leaving 2-stars and ended up switching to a local midwife because Dr. Valle never responded to my messages in the app with pre-natal questions. The last straw for me was when she uploaded my bloodwork test results with no explanation of what the results meant! I reached out via the app and phone calls multiple times before a nurse called me back to go through the test results and tell me the sex of the baby. As a first time mother, this was a very unnerving experience. They clearly did not have enough time for me as a patient, and that is not the experience I am looking for in this pregnancy, as I prefer more hands on and I have a lot of questions."
