"Been with them for over 10 years. Forgot to pay once, they cancelled my policy. I asked them for a new quote, they said they can no longer provide me insurance because of 1 not at fault accident."

"Mercury seems to think it’s ok to payshops about 20% less than all other insurance companies’ “prevailing rates” for our area. They have not budged on the rates and have been paying us $52 an hour for body when all competitors are paying at least $65 and most $68+(Geico) to $85 (Kemper, really??). The appraisers’ inner practices in NORTH HOLLYWOOD are absolutely appalling. DO NOT insure your vehicles with MERCURY. Many of the shops will add damage to your vehicle just to try and make ends meet while participating appraisers will approve this “additional damage” because they KNOW that Mercury is paying too little. My shop cannot afford to perform business any other way than 100% legal. If we are audited by the Bureau of Automotive Repair, ALL WORK PERFORMED MUST MATCH the insurance company’s estimates/supplements. Mercury’s appraisers don’t understand that they are costing themselves MORE in the process and at the very least, the North Hollywood team should be investigated by outside team members to see what I am talking about. There is something going on internally with that team and I will continue to contact the California Department of Insurance until they begin to use fair business practices and pay fair rates. They charge the clients more, we as bodyshops are paying more for materials and somehow, Mercury has managed to pay us the same rates for the last 5+ years. Please do better, guys. There’s no excuse for it."

"My first homeowner’s claim (since 1978 for both business & personal auto, commercial & residential properties, umbrella policies) filed against my insurer Mercury Insurance was adjudicated to my complete satisfaction because of prompt, courteous, policy knowledge and professionalism of adjuster Catherine Adair and ultimately approved by Sr. Claim Manager Ryan Grattan. My departed boss of 38 years (may God rest his soul) was against filing insurance claim as much as possible because of general belief that insurers would invariably find a way (“loophole”) for denial and if successful insured’s premium would dramatically increase come renewal time. Not Mercury Insurance though!"

"I've been trying to reach Sherri Carmo for my claim for 4 months now. It's so inconvenient. that my car was damaged by their client and my car has not been fixed I call every day and leave messages. I want to speak to a manager. im very unsatisfied. Very hard people to contact and when you do they're rude. Apparently since I'm not their client I have to pay for the damage that THEIR client did. They hit me in the back and is even reported that it's their clients fault. 48 hrs for their supervisor to contact me. I swear I'll sue."
