"This 3rd-5th grade school has three schools within a school. Its a pubic school that has a charter, digital and comprehensive style classrooms. Having come from outside of WI we didn't know where to look. Two school systems pop up in the Milwaukee metro area. Elmbrook & Arrowhead School Districts. We spent the first year in Elmbrook SD in Brookfield...its the old style of teaching. Lecture and regurgitation just doesn't work as well. So I went to every school between Brookfield and Oconomowoc. I was so impressed with all of them. The Arrowhead High School gets fed by multiple mini-districts so each one has speciality but all are very good. I choose Hartland South because of its teaching style. I enrolled my daughter and moved the family to Hartland. The charter style reminded me of my days at Hewlett-Packard, an inquiry based and group style of learning. Teaches them independent thought instead of memorization. I can hand a project to them and they tear into it, no problem. Apple has flown in three years in a row to award them Distinguished school honors because of the numbers they're putting out. Plus every week, a group of teachers and administrators from the region are touring the school. The kids love it! I volunteered to show them a few things...I tested the teaching style they use here...told them my idea to make a movie with their iPad using iMovie. Then answer the question that every parent asks...What did you do in school today? Then set them free..omg, they were putting out videos that were amazing!"
