"Very disappointing service. Do not start a membership here if you ever intend to cancel your membership, they make it needlessly convoluted to cancel your membership. You’d think that an organization as large as this with a website and app that you sign in to, would allow you to easily cancel your membership at any time with a few simple clicks of your mouse. But no, they don’t want anyone to have that kind of easy way out, they want you trapped in their service. So you have to either go into to a location, or you have to quit by the mail. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT quit through the mail. They’ll claim they never got your letter (or simply disregard that you said you quit this way numerous times when you try to get money back for the extra months that you were needlessly still paying). At this point, I would like to call out the club manager, Victoria Cichon, I had emailed her explaining how I used to commute between the Dells and Madison and briefly had a membership at Planet Fitness. When I stopped working at my job in Madison, I no longer had a need to drive back and forth to there from the Dells anymore. Being about an hour-long drive away, I wish I could have simply cancelled my membership over the app or online, but that option simply did not exist. So, after looking needlessly deep online, I did find I could still quit by mail. And that’s what I did, I sent my information in, and presumed my membership was cancelled. When I went to log in to the app, I found I couldn’t log in, so I figured that cancelling my membership should have worked. It was only nearly a year later when I found while looking through bank statements that I was still getting charged monthly at about $20. I was outraged by this, so I drove an hour out of my way in to Madison, talked with the nice man at the desk and in an instant, he was able to actually cancel my membership for real, but he said I still had to talk with someone higher up about getting my money back that I was needlessly charged (we’re talking over $250 total here!). So, I got Victoria’s email, and I contacted her about my dilemma. First, she failed to understand my issue, thinking that I still had a membership and claiming that I still had to come in and cancel, when I explained I was told I could cancel through the mail, she said, oh you can do that, I asked then why when I did I never got actually cancelled and still kept getting charged. She ignored this question and never addressed it. She did state at one point that, ‘Since you have not visited our gym in the past couple months we may be able to refund three months as a curtsey.’ I said this is disappointing, but if nothing else, I’ll at least take that money back. And then she ghosted me, I never heard from her again, I emailed back a few times for an update and still heard nothing back, and I never even got those month's money back. If you don’t want to get jerked around, want to keep your money when you cancel your membership, and want a gym where you can easily cancel without a hassle from within their own app or website. Then do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY, it’s an awful scam and you can do so much better. Hell, in the time since I’ve found success at home on a yoga-mat, with a phone app called 30 Day Fitness, while just eating a little less than I had been, I’m now fitter and 50 pounds lighter without having to pay anything extra per month."
