However, due to life's demands and the distance from their primary residence, they have made the difficult decision to sell the house. Their journey of restoring the house and collecting its stories has been akin to the characters in the BBC sitcom "Ghosts," as they lived amongst the spirits of the house's past owners.
In their time at the Meier House, the stewards have compiled their experiences into a forthcoming book titled "This American House: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Meier House and the American System-Built Homes." Working with editors and designers at Pomegranate, they have crafted a beautiful book that showcases the history and significance of the Meier House and American System-Built Homes.
As they bid farewell to the Meier House, the stewards hope to pass on the legacy of this historic institution to new caretakers who will continue to appreciate and preserve its rich history. The house stands as a testament to the enduring influence of William Cary Wright and the architectural genius of Frank Lloyd Wright.
