McCormick Music Lessons

"I’ve been taking music lessons at McCormick Music since April 2022. I started taking piano lessons with Arthur Ortiz and I am now currently taking guitar lessons with Jacob Melvoin. Both instructors are top notch musicians and fun to work with. I’ve also been involved with playing in bands at McCormick and I have performed in 4 showcases. I highly recommend McCormick Music whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced musician! You will grow as a musician and have fun while you learn. The owner Andrew is very friendly and personable and has a tremendous passion for music and cares deeply about his students. I’m so glad I discovered McCormick Music!"

"Wish to give a shout out to Daniel!!! Daniel was my guitar teacher for one year. Before that I had almost zero experience with guitar playing. Daniel was very patient and encouraging. He knows well how to interact and guide his students. Not only is Daniel able to teach students to play the guitar, he could also bring students a holistic experience as a musician. I remember Daniel proposed to start a school band here at McCormick music lessons with a couple of other students. We had a lot of fun rehearsing together and we pulled off a great show in the end. This experience taught me well how to be in a band and now I am in an official band. Without Daniel, I certainly could not have done any of this. He has never met his wonderful teacher, Art Ortiz, in person and had never played the piano before but has been able to learn all the basics remotely and confidently. Art has a calm and supportive demeanor that I think most kids would respond to - he has obviously been teaching a long time and knows what he's doing.
