Platten Place

"Although we do not rent the apartments, we do rent right below the apartments. We own Re: Salvage & Artifacts and have had a great experience so far downtown with Platten Place. We enjoy the historic feel and the liveliness of the building and atmosphere. We always get quick responses from the owner and manager of Platten Place and they are always willing to stop into the store if we need assistance. The renters in the apartments are always nice to us and the style of the apartments are gorgeous! They kept that old feel and we appreciate that."

"It was a very poor 14 months of living there and it continues beyond that because they won't return my security deposit. It has been 4 months and numerous phone calls. They are at the point of not even returning my calls about it. While I was living there they wouldn't give us our monthly city parking pass until the morning of even though I asked. This resulted in several parking tickets. Once a fire alarm went off when it was 35 degrees out and we had to wait outside for 30+ minutes because the fire department came and couldn't turn the alarm off because the key to shut it off wasn't there. On top of that the alarm automatically contacts the maintenance guy who didn't come. Every resident was calling him and he wasn't responding. I guess this wasn't the first time it happened either. The newly renovated apartments were clearly rushed and made with cheap materials. The cabinets around our fridge weren't put in even and the refrigerator couldn't be pushed in all the way. The door hinges for the cabinets were crooked, nails jutted out of the carpet where it met the kitchen floor. Just a terrible terrible experience. Oh, and the bar next door is super loud so be prepared for that. Honestly, don't even consider Blue Frog Property Management they were so unkind and unresponsive for being an actual rental company."
