"I really like my apartment at The Glen. Some of the things I like are: - The layout of my one-bedroom, which makes very efficient use of the space and is very open. - The high quality amenities, such as central air, dishwasher, disposal, granite countertops, stainless appliances, nice-looking cabinets, good window treatments. - The private entrance to my unit. I really like this. - The quietness inside the unit. I rarely hear my neighbors. - The HVAC system works very well and is quiet. Plumbing also works well. - The clubhouse, with nice laundry and exercise room. - The cost, which is very reasonable for the quality. - The pool, hot tub and patio with grills. I don’t use these things but they are nice. - The outstanding service provided by the onsite manager, Steve. Steve maintains this 96-unit property with care and expertise, and he has excellent people skills. He is diligent and committed and enforces the rules. The location is both good and not so good. The good is that it’s in a safe, quiet neighborhood and right across the street from some great walking and jogging space. I walk every night there. The not so good, of course, is that the property abuts the interstate entrance ramp. That said, the sound-proofing of the units is high quality and the highway noise is not an issue for me, though I do use a soft sound screen. I believe that the proximity to the highway keeps the rents lower than they should probably be. The property also abuts Good Hope and Port Washington Roads, so there’s a lot of traffic around. Some things I don’t like about The Glen include: - The parking lot, while very well-maintained, is a bit crowded in the sense that there are no extra spaces and it’s narrow and one has to drive carefully around it. - The units don’t have great air flow, although it’s better than it might seem. And the lighting, while not great, is also better than it might seem at first. - The lack of closet and cabinet space. One positive is the lack of these things increases the living space. However, if you want your unit to be neat and organized, you’ll need to be creative and bring in additional storage. I was able to do this very successfully. - There is a lack of privacy for the first floor units, from my perspective. Being in a second floor unit, this is not an issue for me, but wanted to mention it. - The fire alarm, which can be set off by anyone in your 8-unit building who creates too much smoke with cooking. It’s very loud, and then you have to wait for the fire department to shut it off, which usually takes 10 minutes or so. On the plus side, it’s a very fire-safe situation. - The entrance doors, which have a powerful automatic closing device such as on hotel doors. This results sometimes in door slamming such as you’ve likely heard in hotels. I think these devices should be removed. - The carpet that came with the place. It’s high quality, low-pile carpet, but not attractive. I’ll be covering it with rugs soon. Well, I’ll stop there. I’m giving The Glen 5 stars because it works great for me. I love living here. But my situation and preferences are not the same as everyone else’s."

"I moved into The Glen last April and living here has been wonderful. The proximity to the Bayshore Mall, Downtown and tons of restaurants is one of the perks of living here. Another is the responsive management. I have never waited to long for a maintenance request and the property is very well maintained, especially the pool/hot tub in the Summertime!"

As someone who has previously worked as an apartment leasing agent (not for this company) and is very familiar with the property management field, I can strongly attest that the property management here is beyond phenomenal! The property manager Steve is incredibly professional and responds to questions and concerns promptly, often within minutes. Maintenance also does a very good job at attending to maintenance requests in a timely manner. It feels like the staff here truly puts a lot of care into the living community and I’ve never once felt like I was being looked down upon or condescended too."

It's in a good location with easy access to the highway, making it less than a 15 minute drive to downtown Milwaukee and less than a 8 minute drive to Bayshore. The property manager takes great care of his tenants and the property itself. Any issues we've experienced have been fixed seamlessly. Highly recommend choosing The Glen as your next home."
