"I'm pleased to see the growth my son has made this year in math, reading and socially. I only wish we live closer so we can go more often during the school year. Ms. D has been an amazing tutor and a huge blessing for our son. Her patience, kindness, and knowledge has helped promote his motivation, self-confidence, and learning skills this year. My son had horrible anxiety whenever he knew he had to do school work. He said Mrs. D is the "real" nice, not "fake" nice like the teachers in school. I'm sad he feels that way about the adults he works with in our school district but I'm so thankful he has a place like Armenta's to feel safe and not rushed to complete tasks. I love how Mrs. Armenta and Mr. Smith would take the students for a walk and allow my son to care for the beautiful aquarium. Also learn about topics like sealife- which was so engaging for my son. They have fun crafts to do as a group and also great incentives. Call Mrs. Armenta, she's easy to work with and understands how special kids learn. Amazing place."

"Armenta Learning Academy is such a hidden gem of a school! It is so great for students that might not thrive in traditional school environments where the needs of the whole child are not always met. Teachers at Armenta care so deeply about the success of their students and differentiate instruction so that students are receiving personal and individualized attention for their learning needs. I have loved being a teacher at Armenta— the staff is gracious, organized, and detail-oriented which helps students have a great learning experience that is properly prepared for in advance. "Being an educator at Armenta Learning Academy has been such a blessing. I met Mrs. Armenta through Armenta Pet Academy. As we were getting to know each other we instantly connected, and we had the same mission to help children and animals. I love what Mrs. Armenta does at both Armenta Learning Academy and Armenta Pet Academy. Not only is Mrs. Armenta a great boss, but she is also a wonderful educator and role model. Everyone at ALA is so welcoming and supportive of each other and I truly enjoy going to work every day! I love being able to teach a variety of subjects and work with all the different students that come to ALA, both during ALA’s morning school and after school tutoring programs. I specialize in ABA, Neurofeedback Therapy, American Sign Language, and working with elementary and special needs students. My BA is in Deaf studies and community service, with a concentration on literacy and I love being able to incorporate my knowledge in those areas here at ALA. I enjoy being creative with my teaching and I love facilitating crafts and activities for the students. I also have the pleasure of overseeing the Armenta Learning Academy Store, which has been such a great way to reward, reinforce, and encourage students to work hard. I am so thrilled to be an educator in such a wonderful learning environment, one that I wish I had access to growing up. I delight in seeing the students having fun and enjoying school! "My daughter Charlotte started coming to the Armenta Learning Academy over the summer to help with her speech and language development. Julie and her staff have truly been amazing! She has made so much progress with her teacher Ms. De Silva and enjoys coming here to learn. Although our focus was on speech development, her teacher Ms. De Silva has also been working with her on her writing skills and fine motor development.
