Many of the teachers seem to have walked the hard road themselves -- they have learned both the technique and spirit of Indian classical music growing up out west. "My son started Carnatic violin lessons at Raaga School of Music last fall. What started as a trial to see if this is a good fit for him worked out as an amazing platform for his learning. His teacher is Sri. Sasidhar who is very patient with his teaching and provides constructive feedback which helps. He also sets expectation's for the next class and keeps track of the progress, which shows that this is being taken seriously and lot of effort is being put to the task of teaching this wonderful art form to the kids. The staff is taking steps to build a community of musicians, parents and kids with similar interest which is important too."
